1. Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, information collected automatically when you use the site, and information we receive from third parties.

Information you provide

• Contact details: your name, email address, telephone number and mailing address.
• Coverage details: your ZIP code, state, date of birth, household size, estimated household income, tobacco use, current insurance status and Medicare enrollment status.
• Message content: anything you write in a contact form or tell an agent during a call.
• Consent records: whether you agreed to be contacted, the exact wording of the disclosure you agreed to, the date and time of your agreement, your IP address, and browser details recorded securely as proof of consent.

We ask you not to send us detailed medical records, diagnoses, Social Security numbers or Medicare Beneficiary Identifiers through the website forms. If a licensed agent needs that information to complete an enrollment, they will collect it through a secure channel.

Information collected automatically

• IP address, browser type, device type and operating system.
• The pages you visit on this site, and the page or advert that referred you.
• Marketing attribution parameters (for example utm_source) present in the link you arrived through.

2. How we use your information

• To prepare and deliver the insurance quote you requested.
• To have a licensed insurance agent contact you about coverage options, where you have consented to that contact.
• To answer your questions and provide customer support.
• To send you service messages, such as a confirmation of your request.
• To send marketing emails about enrollment deadlines and plan changes, but only if you separately opted in.
• To operate, secure and improve the site, including detecting and preventing fraudulent or abusive submissions.
• To comply with legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

• Licensed insurance agents and agencies who need it to prepare your quote and discuss plan options with you.
• Insurance carriers when you choose to apply for or enroll in a plan.
• Service providers who operate infrastructure on our behalf (hosting, databases, email delivery and analytics) under contracts that restrict them to processing data only for us.
• Legal and safety disclosures where required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, property or the safety of any person.
• Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply.

4. Consent and how we contact you

When you submit a quote request and check the contact consent box, you provide prior express written consent for us and our licensed agent partners to contact you at the telephone number you supplied, including by automatic telephone dialing system, artificial or prerecorded voice, and text message.

Your consent is never a condition of purchase. You do not have to consent in order to receive a quote. You can call us instead.

We keep an immutable audit trail of every consent submission. This includes the verbatim text of the disclosure shown to you, the policy version tag, the exact timestamp, your IP address, and browser user agent, stored using AES-256-GCM encryption so that we can demonstrate compliance with Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) requirements.

How to withdraw consent

• Reply STOP to any text message.
• Tell any agent on any call that you wish to be removed.
• Email info@insurancequotebase.com with the number or address to remove.
• Submit a request on our Do Not Contact page, which records it immediately.

We will honour your request promptly and add you to our internal do-not-contact list. We may still send you transactional messages about a request you already made.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of cookies:

• Strictly necessary cookies that keep your place in a multi-step quote form and maintain an administrator login session. These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
• Analytics cookies, where enabled, that help us understand which pages are useful. These are aggregated and not used to identify you personally.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where your browser sends them.

6. How long we keep your data

• Quote requests and lead records: retained while we are assisting you and afterwards for as long as required by insurance record-keeping rules, then deleted or anonymised.
• Consent records: retained for at least the period required to demonstrate compliance with telephone consumer protection rules, which is typically longer than the lead record itself.
• Incomplete quote sessions: automatically deleted after 72 hours.
• Contact messages: retained while we handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards.

7. How we protect your information

We use technical and organisational safeguards including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted password storage, access controls limiting staff access to what their role requires, audit logging of administrative access to records, and rate limiting to deter automated abuse.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you send us information at your own risk.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it.
• Request a copy of that information in a portable format.
• Correct information that is inaccurate.
• Request deletion of your information, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for targeted advertising.
• Withdraw consent to marketing contact at any time.
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

9. State-specific rights

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and others, have the specific rights those laws provide. California residents may additionally designate an authorised agent to submit requests on their behalf.

We do not sell personal information as that term is defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act. To submit a “do not sell or share” request anyway, use the contact details below.

10. Children’s privacy

This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date and version at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site. Consent records retain the version of the policy that was in effect when you consented.
